Is it free to submit my collection?
Yes. It’s free to submit your record collection and get interest from buyers. There’s no listing fee and no obligation to accept any offer.
Do I have to sell my records?
No. Submitting your collection simply gives buyers the chance to get in touch. You can compare offers, ask questions, and decide whether you want to sell.
What if I don’t have a list of my records?
That’s fine. You can upload photos, a spreadsheet, a text list, or just describe what you have. Even a rough idea of quantity, condition, genres, artists, or where the records came from can help.
Who will see my details?
Your details are used to connect you with relevant record buyers who may be interested in your collection. We don’t pass your information to unrelated companies.
What kind of records can I submit?
You can submit vinyl LPs, 7″ singles, box sets, rare records, inherited collections, large collections, small collections, and mixed genres. If you’re not sure whether your records are worth anything, you can still submit them.
How quickly will buyers contact me?
It depends on your location and the type of collection, but interested buyers may contact you once your details have been submitted and reviewed.
Can I upload photos instead of typing everything out?
Yes. Photos are often the easiest way to show buyers what you have. Clear pictures of the records, spines, boxes, labels, or any rare-looking items can be very useful.
Will someone value my collection?
SellRecords helps connect you with buyers who may make offers or ask for more details. The final price is agreed directly between you and the buyer.
Is my collection too small?
Not necessarily. Some buyers are interested in single rare records, while others prefer larger collections. You can submit the details either way.
What happens after I submit the form?

How do buyer alerts work?
When someone submits a record collection through Sell Records, we review the details and notify suitable buyers based on location, distance and the type of collection.
What kind of collections will I be notified about?
Alerts may include vinyl LPs, 7″ singles, full record collections, rare records, collectable items and mixed-genre collections.
Can I choose the area I cover?
Yes. When you register, you can tell us how far you’re prepared to travel. This helps us send you relevant collection alerts.
Do I have to respond to every alert?
No. You can choose which collections interest you. There’s no obligation to make an offer or contact every seller.
Will I get the seller’s details?
Where appropriate, alerts may include the seller’s contact details, location and collection information so you can decide whether to get in touch.
Are collections checked before being sent to buyers?
We aim to collect useful information from sellers, such as photos, lists, descriptions and location details. The final decision to contact a seller or make an offer is always yours.
Who can become a buyer?
Record shops, dealers, collectors, resellers and specialist vinyl buyers are welcome to register.
Is this only for rare records?
No. Sellers may submit anything from everyday LPs and 7″ singles to large collections, rare records, promos, first pressings and specialist genres.
What happens after I register?
You’ll be added to the buyer network. When suitable record collections are submitted in your area, we’ll send alerts to the email address you provided.
